our story

We grew up in Douglasville, GA, in a home where hosting was taken seriously. Our family believed that handwritten welcome notes, thoughtfully configured lighting, and a well-set space weren’t just nice touches, but necessities that transformed the atmosphere in ways we only came to understand over time. We learned early that hospitality isn’t just about bringing people together and making them feel at home. It’s about creating the conditions for thoughts, feelings, and words that are searching for a place to land but can’t find one.

As we journeyed through our adult lives—traveling and hosting in our own spaces—we grew increasingly aware of how subtle elements culminate in gatherings’ most profound moments. But beyond that, we started thinking about something a bit deeper: how structure and design influence the conversations people are able to have in the first place.

As we began to more intentionally incorporate what we were learning in our own gatherings at university & in our corporate roles, it became clear that these principles weren’t just for our homes—they belonged in spaces where people were already striving for meaningful connection but lacked the infrastructure to support it.

So, in March 2024, we started Hauswarm. ​

​

Hauswarm is a conversation design agency. We consult with individuals and organizations—large and small—to design the infrastructure for conversations that wouldn’t happen otherwise. That might mean creating custom conversation artefacts, matching a facilitator with the perfect living room space for their group’s needs, contributing our expertise to a community that’s evolving, or designing new spaces that foster the kind of dialogue that not only feels right but moves people in the right direction.

Hauswarm isn’t about making things feel easy or effortless for the sake of it. It’s about making sure that when people come together, the conversations that need to happen actually do.
